The Great Bridge of Sutlej River

Historical Background of Sutlej:
Sutlej River is one of the eastern River which was conflicted after partition under the Indus Water Treaty'1960. After this Treaty western Rivers Indus,Jehlum and Chenab were given to Pakistan and at the same the Pakistan should need to Sacrifice the eastern Rivers to India which includes Ravi,Sutlej and Bias.
River Sutlej is Trans-Boundary River which is located between India and Pakistan and Hakra area also originates in its in-flow area in Bahawalpur, Punjab of Pakistan.

According to this project new canals should emit by making dams on three rivers and these canals should supply water to a huge area of the State. These dams are called Head Sulemanki, Head Islam and Head Punjnad.
This project was started in 1922to 1933 and it was divided into four groups. It was started like this that Ferozpur Sulemanki, Islam and punjnad should flow water on permanent and non-permanent basis
